Cheesy potato bake

This cheesy potato bake is really easy to make and is a great side dish for chicken.
2 green onions, chopped
1kg potatoes, peeled and chopped in 2cm cubes
1 tsp olive oil
1 onion, finely chopped
2 rashers bacon, rind removed and chopped
200ml milk
Salt and freshly ground black pepper
200g grated cheese
Boil the potatoes in a saucepan until cooked.
In a separate pan, heat the oil and fry the bacon and onion until slightly brown.
Next, combine the onion, bacon and milk to the cooked potatoes. Season with salt and pepper.
Pour the mixture into a lasagne or casserole dish and sprinkle with grated cheese.
Preheat the oven to 180°C/ gas mark 6
Bake the potato dish for 30 minutes or until the top is a golden brown.
Leave to stand for 5 minutes before serving.
