MummyCooks Orzo Pasta with Peas and Parmesan
This Orzo pasta recipe is a healthy and nutritious family meal that is suitable as a stage two baby food recipe. Make sure to make extra so you can double it up as a lunchbox filler.

2 tbsp butter

2 tbsp olive oil

½ an onion chopped

3 cloves of garlic minced

16oz package of orzo

500ml Chicken Stock

1½ - 2 cups thawed frozen peas

¾ - 1 cup grated parmesan

Melt the butter and olive oil over a medium heat in your pot.

Add onions and stir continuously, cooking until softened, about 3-4 minutes.

Add garlic and orzo, stirring constantly for 1-2 minutes.

Pour in chicken stock, and salt and pepper to taste.

Cook uncovered, stirring often, and cook until all the liquid has absorbed into the pasta.

Add peas and parmesan, and mix .

Heat until parmesan is melted and peas are heated through, and serve.
