Pesto and pea pasta

An easy, Italian dish to prepare all the family will enjoy and made more or less from what you have in the fridge or kitchen press.
300g pasta of choice
160g frozen peas
1 tbsp olive oil
3 tbsp basil pesto
Freshly grated parmesan (or vegen alternative), to serve (optional)
Cook the spaghetti according to the instructions, adding the peas in the final 2 minutes.
Drain the pasta and peas stir in the pesto and serve directly, with grated cheese, if using.
