Super easy scones

These scones are so simple, you just have to try them.
250g self-raising flour
2 heaped tsp baking powder
1 tbsp icing sugar
1 egg, lightly beaten
50g butter, melted
360ml milk
Preheat the oven to 200°C / 400°F / Gas mark 6.
Line a baking tray with greaseproof paper and set aside.
Into a bowl, sift flour, baking powder and icing sugar together.
Melt the butter and add into the mixture with the egg and milk a little at a time until you have a sticky dough.
Place the dough onto a clean, floured surface and leave to rest for 20 minutes.
Roll to 2cm thickness.
Cut out circles with a glass or cup, dipping it in flour between cuts.
Place scones close together on baking tray and rest for a further 10 minutes.
Bake for 10 minutes or until golden.
