Two-year-old Kaiden Orantes has progressive hearing loss. But in recent days, the tot received hearing aids, allowing him to hear his mum’s voice for the first time.

And his reaction could not be more adorable. Clearly awe-struck after two years of silence, Kaiden’s eyes visibly widen before he starts his own little dance party!

“He started freaking me out and did the happy dance,” mum Caitlin told ABC News.

Without the hearing aids, Kaiden has very little hearing in his left ear, and no hearing at all in his right.

Despite this, the toddler has always had a thing for music, which he ‘heard’ via vibrations.

"He is super drawn to music. ... That's something he can hear surprisingly [well]," Caitlin said. "It transfers into your brain in a completely different way than [other] sounds would."

“I’ve had videos of him going crazy and trying to sing. He’s finally able to hear the sound he’s creating. It’s so priceless.”
