The Owl and the Pussy-cat return in this new book by author of The Gruffalo, Julia Donaldson.

When their beautiful golden ring is stolen, the Owl and the Pussy-cat must leave the safety of the Bong-tree glade to find the crow who snatched it from them. As they travel across a nonsensical land filled with adventure, they encounter new friends, such as the Pobble with no toes and the Calico Doves.

While Donaldson puts a new twist on Edward Lear’s classic rhyme, you’ll still find them in familiar settings, such as dining on stew with Dong and the Jumbly crew.

Charlotte Voake’s illustrations are strangely captivating, suiting the eccentric story perfectly.

Definitely worth an investment if your child likes weird and wonderful storybooks.
