Three-year-old Anson is a child genius when it comes to medicine, something that P. Salehi, who posted a heartwarming story to the Love What Matters Facebook page, had first-hand experience of!

After noticing that Salehi was wearing a medical school shirt, Anson asked what type of doctor they wanted to be - a pretty apt question for a three-year-old one might think?

Expressing his interest in the intricate workings of the immune system, the youngster then began describing in great detail just how it protects the body from infection.

The video starts with Anson describing how “the brain is the most important part of the body”. A simple enough assumption for a toddler to make you might say, but he goes on to describe how important the medulla is in carrying nerve signals to the motor nerve!

He then pursues this further by adding that the motor nerve in fact carries nerve signals to the sensory nerves, doing a round trip through the body back to the motor nerve to produce movement.

In Anson’s words, “and that’s when you just do something!”

“All those steps in the nervous system, happen fast.”

So if you ever wondered about how safe we are in the future generation’s hands, fear no more - Anson has us covered.
