If your family traditions over Christmas involve giving to those who are in need, you may take him along with you and go on a shopping trip or start wrapping presents for families in need. You can also ask him for suggestions on where you can place your decorations around your home this year.
Your baby can also help you take out the ornaments from the boxes or gather them together. A family tradition wherein all of you are seated around the Christmas tree while someone is reading a store is sure to please! This is also the time for you to introduce Santa Claus to him. But of course, since it will be his first time, he might be afraid of Santa so do not force him to take a picture while sitting on Santa’s lap.
You should also keep an eye on your baby's mood. Remember that seeing too many faces might overwhelm him. Notice if he is starting to show signs of sleepiness or irritability. Make sure to give him time to rest so that he can cope up with the festivities of the holiday season.
