A mum in Brazil has just made her young son's day a lot better.
Little Enzo Giraldelli was born with a large birthmark covering half his forehead and his left eye. So his mother, Carolina Giraldelli, employed a make up artist to recreate her son's mark on her own face.
“I felt like the most beautiful woman in the world,” she said, speaking to local media.
She continued to explained that her son Enzo was born last year via C-section as the umbilical chord had been wrapped around his neck.
Doctors were worried about the mark, but upon further investigation they determined that it was harmless.
Carolina is just happy that her baby is healthy and thriving.
"I have never treated him as different," she said. "I see him as a normal baby and I want to show him to everyone."
Now that Enzo is older and reacting to strangers, Carolina has noticed that his friendliness is returned with "pity, contempt, scare and sometimes disgust."
Wanting to walk in her sons shoes for a day, Carolina added the birthmark to her own face, before going to work.
"When I got home, Enzo’s reaction was complete joy, even though he did not completely understand," she said. "We took lots of pictures and our morning was a lot of fun."
However, going about the rest of the day did not have the same amount of joy. Strangers gave her the same looks that they give her baby.
“How I felt stayed with me ever since,” she said.
“I was very calm, because I felt like the most proud mother in the world."
And why wouldn't she? Little Enzo is gorgeous!
