Chicken with asparagus and penne pasta

A lovely seasonal dish with the added kick of dried crushed chillies.
500g penne pasta
100g frozen peas
2 tbsp olive oil
350g skinless, boneless chicken fillets, cut into chunks
4 cloves garlic, finely chopped
350g asparagus, trimmed and cut into 2cm pieces
1 tsp dried crushed chilli flakes
60g freshly grated Parmesan
Cook the pasta penne according to the instructions adding the peas in the last few minutes, drain, and transfer to a large bowl.
Heat 1 tablespoon olive oil in a large frying pan over medium heat.
Cook the chicken until lightly browned then remove from the pan.
Add the remaining tablespoon of olive oil to the frying pan.
Fry the garlic, asparagus and crushed chillies until the asparagus is tender and the garlic softens.
Tip in the chicken, and cook for 2 minutes stirring to combine.
Season with salt and pepper.
Toss the pasta with the mixture and sprinkle with freshly grated Parmesan before serving.
