If your kids aren't a fan of nuts why not make these nut-free museli bars instead.
90g porridge oats
50g puffed rice (you can use Rice Krispies)
40g flour
50g caster sugar
A couple of handfuls of fruit such as raisins, apricots or blueberries
2 eggs
4 tsp honey
2 tbsp olive oil
Preheat oven to 180°C/ 350°F/ gas mark 4. Line a baking tray with parchment paper.
In a small bowl, combine the porridge oats, puffed rice, flour, sugar and fruit. Mix together well.
In another bowl, beat the eggs, honey and oil.
Pour into the dry mix.
Use your hands to make the mixture into about 10 individual bars.
Place in the oven for 30 minutes until golden.
