Vogue Williams shares hack for hiding post-baby hair loss

Losing hair after pregnancy can be extremely upsetting for new mums. It can knock your self-confidence back a step or two, but it’s important to remember it is a temporary problem.

Many mums will experience hair loss after welcoming a baby into the world. The reason you lose hair after giving birth is due to hormone levels.

Vogue Williams recently opened up about her post-pregnancy hair loss on Instagram. The mum, who has often been hailed for her honesty about motherhood, explained that she needed to cover up bald patches before a photoshoot.

She revealed that she applies dark bronzer to the bald patches, “Just covering up the bits of bald left from Theodore,” the mum said.

There are numerous lifestyle changes you can make to help prevent postpartum hair loss.

One of the main ones is altering your diet. Make sure you’re getting the correct about of nutrients in each meal as they will help promote healthy hair growth.

Make sure your breakfast includes protein such as scrambled eggs or sausage along with whole-wheat toast or a bowl of oatmeal. Add fresh fruit or jam to your toast or oatmeal.

At lunch, tuck into a green leafy vegetable salad that includes strips of lean chicken breast along with tomato wedges and green bell pepper chunks.

Eat another serving of protein along with vegetables or whole-grain pasta at dinnertime.
