Any parent to a toddler knows that one of their defining qualities – aside from being adorable – is that it doesn’t take much to make them cry.
And we’re talking illogical crying here. Crying that might make sense to them in their alternate toddler realities, but stumps us completely. Like when they have a meltdown because their raincoat is green, and they HATE green! (Even though they loved green yesterday.)
One dad who totally gets this decided to set up a Tumblr account sharing all of the hilarious, exasperating reason toddlers’ bottom lips wobble.
US dad Greg Pembroke calls for submissions from parents all over the world, and he posts the photos on the blog Reasons My Son Is Crying.
“I started it for a bit of fun, and it got big completely by accident,” he told the Daily Mail. “The best bit is that I've been getting emails from all over the world from people saying they find it so relatable. It doesn't matter where in the world you are, the universal culture of toddler is the same.”
So true, not to mention endlessly entertaining!
