Do you have any quick and healthy snack ideas I can use for my child?

You’ve probably noticed that your child is hungry quite often. That’s perfectly normal, and keeping a few healthy snacks on hand is a good idea for any mum or dad. In fact, it’s been shown that children often cannot get all the energy they need from three meals a day, so if you want your child to grow up healthy and strong, you need to make sure he or she has plenty of healthy snacks too.

Fruit, or pieces of vegetables, either raw or cooked, are a great choice for healthy snacks.

Oven chips, with tomato sauce, or even baked crisps can be a good snack for your growing child.

Seeds or trail mix are another quick and easy snack that’s also good for your child.

Fruit or granola bars are a good choice. Avoid those with too much sugar or chocolate dipped versions.

Frozen ice lollies are another good snack idea for summer. Many are made with fruit, and they’re usually low in calories.

Fruit shakes, energy drinks and fruit juice are all good choices too.
