Summer has finally arrived, and so has the worry on how you’re going to keep your little one busy for the long days ahead. Not to worry, here are some great activities to keep your child busy this summer:

Slip ‘n Slide
If the sun does make an appearance, a slip ‘n slide is the perfect way to keep your child cooled down and entertained on those hot sunny days. Whether you decide to purchase one at your local store or create your own with a plastic sheet, every child will love this activity. Sometimes by adding a little soap or pool toys can make slipping ‘n sliding even more fun for your tot.

Body paint
Again if the sun allows it, body painting is another great way to get your little one to explore their creative side in the outdoors. By using some non-toxic paint, your child can have hours of fun painting their own designs on themselves, siblings or even some of their friends.

Seashells crafts
If you have the time why not go to beach with your little one and go hunting for some unusual seashells. After you’ve collected the seashells with your little one and washed them out there are plenty of ways your tot can get creative with their new shells. Your child can paint them, string them or even stack them. If they want to get really creative they can create some seashell jewellery or gadgets for themselves.

Feed the ducks
You will be surprised how much your little one can enjoy going down to the park to feed the ducks. But seeing ducks get excited over some pieces of bread is guaranteed to give your little one hours of entertainment. You can even make a day of it by packing a lunch for you and your little one and having a little picnic in the park.

Backyard camping
Your child is probably too young to go on a full camping trip by themselves just yet, but it doesn’t mean they shouldn’t experience camping for themselves. Invite some of your tot’s friends over for a backyard camping party. Your tot can have their own campfire (supervised by you) and maybe even a barbecue with some traditional camping treats if again the weather permits.
