A toddler has been reunited with her teddy bear after more than 30,000 Facebook users shared a picture of ‘Pink Bunny’ to help find his owners.
Little Maddie Cross lost her bunny while visiting Devon’s Baggy Point Beach and despite a frantic search by her parents, he remained missing.
“This well-worn and obviously well-loved little fella was found sad and he’s staying with us until we can get him back to the family he belongs too,” she wrote. “Please share this photo and help him get back to the little person who loves and cuddles him and no doubt misses him.”
After the post was shared by thousands of people within 24 hours, Maddie’s family came forward to claim him.
Brad Cross, Maddie’s father, said; “'He’s her comforter and she couldn’t sleep a wink without him all Bank Holiday - so when we saw Deborah’s campaign on Facebook we were utterly delighted”.
Such a happy ending.
What do you think? What’s your child’s comforter? Has it ever been lost?
