Ask.fm, a website linked to three teen suicides, has announced a number of new safety measures.

The site will now include a visible ‘report’ button, a larger number of moderators and an extra website for parents.

Ask.fm, which allows users to leave anonymous comments about other users, was implicated after three teens took their own lives following abuse and bullying campaigns while using the site.

A number of companies pulled their advertising from the site following the controversy.

In a statement, the site’s founder said: “we engaged professional advisers to conduct a full and independent audit of our site and its safety features. This audit has now been completed. Based on the findings and the recommendations that were made, we can today announce our commitment to making changes to Ask.fm’s existing policies in three core areas: reporting and moderation, registration, and corporate visibility.”

What do you think? Is Ask.fm doing enough? Would you be happy with your teen using the site?
