Father is read a letter his wife secretly wrote just before her death in 2011

Every now and again a story appears that really makes you appreciate all the good there is in the world.

 

When mum-of-four Brenda Schmitz found out she had terminal cancer in 2011, one of the last things she did was write a letter to a local radio station asking for three wishes to be granted for her family.

 

She put this letter into the care of a close friend and asked her to send it to the station when the time was right – when her husband David fell in love again.

 

In it she wrote: “I have a wish for David, the boys and the woman and her family if she has kids also. I want them to know I love them very much and they always feel safe in a world of pain.”
