Research into silk clothing for the treatment of childhood eczema

We are currently recruiting children from around the Nottingham area, to participate in a clinical trial of specialist clothing for the relief of eczema symptoms.
In recent years, new silk clothing products have been developed that claim to be beneficial for the treatment of eczema, but it is not clear whether these clothes help or not. As a result, researchers at the University of Nottingham are conducting the first large-scale, independently-funded randomised controlled trial of silk clothing for the management of eczema in children. This trial has been funded by the National Institute for Health Research (the research and development arm of the NHS), and two clothing distributors have kindly agreed to donate the clothing for use in the trial.
If you have a child between the ages of 1 and 15 who suffers from quite bad eczema, they may be eligible to participate in our study.
