After a young boy told his mother he had no friends to celebrate his 11th birthday with, his mum decided to make him a “Happy Birthday Colin” page on Facebook. The 10 year old has a condition similar to Asperger's syndrome, which affects his social skills and his ability to make friends at school. While dining at a Chinese restaurant, parents of a young boy received a pretty complimentary note from a stranger. Another brother shared the message on Reddit and wrote: “I'm not sure what my younger brother did, but he needs to keep it up.” The eldest son prides the little boy’s manners on being homeschooled and how his parents raised them. Mum and dad are obviously doing something right....

I had my first child in 2007 and it was everything I had imagined. I had met my husband late in life and like a lot of women I was concerned about fertility. I needn’t have worried at all. Whilst the little man wouldn’t sleep unless he was with me, cried incessantly and had reflux, I sailed through. I fell pregnant again when he was around 5 months old. Little man number 2 started out rocky...

Due to the difficulties that children will be faced with in the future, UK politicians are recommending that schools offer a course in coping with life. The certificate would see students learning about self-control and perseverance, while gaining the ability to bounce back when things go wrong. According to the government-backed report, the development of a child’s character and resilience is...

Those without children may tell you to calm it down a few notches with the baby pictures on Facebook. However, it appears that baby-related posts aren’t actually as widespread as they seem. A new study found that the reason why people feel like Facebook is crowded with baby pictures is because the more likes they get the more they appear on newsfeeds. Meredith Morris, the author of the study...

With all this rain we have been experiencing, a lot of mums would love to scream out in frustration like this little boy. All he wants is a little bit of sun – it’s not too much to ask for, is it?

Although the birth of a newborn usually calls for a celebration, a sudden crash in hormone levels can prevent mums from doing so. A recent report found that nearly two thirds of women struggle to cope with the changes in their lives and admit to feeling stressed and depressed after welcoming their newborn. Carried out by the Royal College of Midwives (RCM) and Netmums, the study suggests that more...

This three-week-old baby otter’s cry will melt even the hardest of hearts. The pup was very upset when it was left alone by its mother; however, after a cuddle from mum all was right again. This is guaranteed to put a smile on your face.

Seven-year-old Hayden has so much to do on a daily basis that he has to write a “To Do” list. When Hayden was asked by his dad, Michael, if his teacher asked him to write the list, the little boy responded: “No, a few of us just wanted to make them.” His daily tasks will make busy mums everywhere want to be seven again. Oh the simple life....
